Headlight flicker

My headlights will flash on and then off when i have my parking lights on sometimes. The headlights will do the same on off flicker even when i have the switch towards headlights . I was thinking headlight switch.

any help ideas?

You will need to provide truck year as 03-05 have different systems then 06-09 .

Ah, I am familiar with the 06-09 but cant help much on 03-05, im sure other members will be able to help.

Disconnect the headlight switch, done so the lights will be on by default as soon as you run the engine. If they are fine then, it's the switch. If they act up without switch, it gets difficult.

Does it help to say they only do it when the switch is on parking lights or head lights. never in the off position???? And when it does do it flicker .Its not that often.
