The shine just isn't the same, and the plastic lenses are getting a bit dull. Has anyone cleaned them, or do they need replacement? Thanks in advance for any tips.

I used a product from High Temp- Leveling Polish Compound. Comes in two flavors, heavy (for heavy oxidation ) and light for buffing out light swirls. The are designed for pain, are clearcoat safe and the light will not harm plastics. I polished on mine and they cleaned up considerably, but they didn't look brand new. I think some of it is the effect of sand and gravel and would not polish out.

I used polishing, not rubbing compound, for paint to clean a instrument cluster "glass" that had been cleaned with something bad and was so fogged you almost couldnt see through it and it polished up perfect

That is why I bought the clear film covers from Geno's. I figure it is cheaper to pull the film off and replace it than replace the lights.

I have 2 years on it and the film is still good.

3M Handglaze. Tan colored abrasive free compound in a bottle. This is made to rub out paint in between coats. Makes dull faded police car and fire truck red and blue plastic lenses look like crystal clear brand new. I've used it for years. The harder you rub, the better it gets. Works great on paint and clearcoat also. Wont scratch either.
