I have a particular problem with the drivers side head light. It seems to be very defused as compared to the passenger side head light. I have tried replacing the bulbs with no change in the light pattern. Has anyone run across this problem before and have any suggestions as to what it could be? The lens for the headlight looks fine but I suspect it is not. Is this easy to remove and clean or replace? Any ideas of where I can get the parts for this other then the dealer?

TIA

I kind of doubt that the lens is available separately from the rest of the assembly. I'd suspect the reflector rather than the lens in any event.

http://www.importvision.com is mentioned pretty frequently as a source for the quad headlight conversion. I got mine 25% cheaper at an http://www.certifit.com outlet, but you'll have to pick it up at a will-call counter (they only deliver to body shops. )

Thanks guys. I will be looking into those sites and getting a replacement soon. I will definately need it for winter. do you know how hard it will be to replace the entire assembly?

TIA

Not hard to replace, just a few screws to remove and re-aim headlights when done. Remember to remove the black plastic bumper cap before removal or you will scratch it all up getting the lens covers out and back in. The cover just snaps out with tabs you can see from under the bumper. Get a pint of blood to use after removal of the bulbs, I allways lose a bunch from the beating my hands take!!

Sounds like a bulb was on at one time and blew up. If the bulb does that inside the housing it will mess up the inside of the headlight housing and there isn nothing you can do to fix it except replace it.

That's exactly what happened to me. The bulb on the driver's side just exploded one night. After that, the reflective coating in the lens assembly was shot. There's no way to repair it. I had to replace the entire headlight assembly.
