Hey does anybody know what the part# is for the small bulb that illuminates the headlight switch. Dodge can't find a listing for it and I was wondering if anybody knew the # before I take the bulb out to see if they can match it up.

Thanks Kevin

I looked im my owners manual. I can not find anything that says Headlight switch lamp. I did find the heater control light it is a 158 and something called a "switch callouts" and it is a 158 as well. I don't know if that helps but that is all I could find in the book. -Jason

Hornball, Any luck finding the #? I took my light switch's light bulb into the dealer while getting a new power window channel assembly for my daughter's Jeep. The parts guy "just happened to put a few away" the day before and had no idea what they were for (he remembered seeing them because of the long shaft). The shaft of the new bulb was about 1/4" shorter, but seems to work OK. He couldn't find anything else that even looked close. I didn't get the part number as my daughter paid for it (~ $3. 00) while I was putting it in the truck to make sure it would work. I also need the bulb for the dimmer switch side, but noticed the main-side bulb is too big to fit into that hole -- I bought the truck used, and the dimmer-side bulb is missing. If you still need the number, I can get it from my daughter.

Hi FFlack thanks very much for posting. No I havent had much luck finding a bulb yet ive been kinda busy doin a course lately so i had kinda given up for the time being. If you could get me the part number for those bulbs that you found that would be a great help though. Thanks a lot

Kevin

You can find that bulb at Radio Shack. You just reuse that long plastic piece and place the bulb in it. Its just a little dimmer than the original but its cheep and it works.

TURBOs4LIFE, I thought about doing that, but didn't know where to look for the bulb. Problem with my 2nd bulb is that I don't have anything to start with.

Hornball, The part number is 5013124-AA (description is "BULB HEAT"). It is a little shorter, but works fine. Cost was $2. 90 plus tax.
