My fog lights quit working on my 99 and I suspected the headlight switch. My local dealer fixed the problem but it took three new switches to get the fog lamps to work. I thought DC had fixed the problem. I am now concerned as to how long the new switch will last. Any ideas on a substitute switch. I am going to relay the fogs but the real culprit is the dash light dimmer. My switch literally fell apart in the technition's hand when he removed it from the dash

I had the same problem. The dealer told me that there was a recall on the headlight switch that they were required to install if there was a failure. The new switch has a wiring harness where they have to cut some of the wires to install.

My replacement was only about a month ago so I will have to wait to see if it is a long term fix.

Had my foglights quit on me due to faulty headlight switch at 26,576mi, dealer replaced under warranty. Had fuel guage stick on full at 29,257mi, dealer replaced fuel sender under warranty and did hitch recall at the same time. Both times I had my truck back the next day. Massey-Yardley Dodge in Hobe Sound, Florida have been great to deal with, ordered my truck from them 10/21/98 and picked it up on 12/21/98. What a Christmas present! BTW they had no problem ordering my 3. 54 w/LSD.
