Is there anywhere to buy a replacement headlight switch for a 99 3500 with the fog lights? My headlights and parking lights work but the fog lights will not come on unless I pull out hard on the switch. Then when I release the switch they go out.

Thanks in advance.

Looks like you need to replace the "multifunction switch modue", re "dimmer/wiper/etc, switch. ". . it isn't too hard.

I'm voting for the headlight switch. I have no idea why the multifunction switch would cause a fog lamp problem???

Here are the numbers for the various model year 2000 switches:

SWITCH, Headlamp

56021 673AD w/Cargo Lamp

56021 674AD w/o Cargo Lamp

56021 675AE w/Cargo Lamp & Foglamp

Probably your 1999 is the same.

I replaced my model year 2000 headlight switch several months ago. A simple job and not as spendy as I imagined from my local Mopar parts counter.

Good luck.

Thanks guys. I know it's got to be in the headlight switch because when turn the headlights on and pull the switch out to turn on the fog lights, the lights don't come on. But, I can pull on the switch pretty hard and they will come on but go out when I release.

I just don't want to pay an outrageous price at the dealer.

Mine just fried the wire harness behind the switch and melted it also. I took it to the dealer and they replaced the switch and harness under the diesel wrap warranty. My alarm system hooks up to the headlight switch to flash the parking lights and they believe that was the problem. They were willing to repace under warranty if they didn't hook the alarm to the harness.

I can do that on my own.
