Headlights come on with key fob door unlock.

I just recently had the accessory power delay enabled on my '06 2500 4X4 and noticed that now, when I unlock the drivers door with the remote, the headlights come on. Not sure how long they stay on but at times this might not be good. How can I change this?

I would like to have this feature on my truck. How did you have it done?

My Jeep has the ability to program this, and it also has the high end stuff in the cab..... Sound, leather, controls on the steering wheel and some programing thats in the owners manual..... my 04, 04. 5 and 05 SLT's 3500 dually don't have this... . in the manual you can chirp the horn and or the lights when you lock and un lock but can't program the lights to stay on during the unlock cycle of the trucks... .

On the Jeep and I assume on the high end trucks since its the same computer and package just a different dash you can program if its on or off... my computer turns everything off after about 1 min if I don't touch it... .

I leave the lights on, the wipers on, they cycle only when water touches the windshield, its so seamless and works so well I just leave the stuff on... . only when I go through a car was do I turn it off... .

I've ordered a new 08 and put these features on it as well.....

At least on my 07. 5 you can go through the different settings on the overhead console. Toggle the overhead console until "Personal Settings" appear and you can "Step" through it until you see the headlight approach feature or something similar.

I was told that the "starscan tool" had to be used to turn this feature on.
