If you don't drive in the fog much, you could try this mod.

I replaced the stock fog light bulbs with SilverStar Ultra 9005's OSRAM SYLVANIA - SilverStar and they work very well for a short distance, I am looking for that same kind of lighting down the road. I even changed out the stock headlight bulbs to Silver Stars and still the light is not as bright white as I get with the 9005's. I have the Bright Box but right now the Fog lights don't stay on with the high beams so something isn't right... it's like I actually loose some lighting when I switch to high beams because the fogs are going off. The distance of the brights beyond the dims is pretty pathetic.

I know on my 4x4 they set higher than many sports cars. The aimer we use in the shop is good down to 22" off the ground.

Running them in the bumper will produce a considerable amount of light on the road up close but adjusted proper they shine much farther than the oem high beams do.

I installed some 2x6 KC lights in that space. They work pretty well, especially if you change out the stock 55 watt bulbs for 100 watters.

While on this subject, would someone who has changed the bulbs, please pm me with how to remove the lens to change the bulbs?

Thanks.

You don't remove the lense... you change the bulb from the back side of the assembly. On my truck you raise the hood and remove the obvious torx screws for each headlight assembly then you remove a rubber plug on the forward side of each wheel well and remove a single screw. Be careful you don't drop the screw as it can disappear in some pretty hard to get to places. The headlight assembly then pulls out straight forward, you have to give it a pretty good tug. Remove the plug and wires from the back of the bulb, remove and replace the bulb and put it back together. DO NOT touch the glass on the bulb(s), if you do carefully clean with alcohol.
