I just purchased a used 2004 Chrysler Pacifica crossover wagon AWD with the projection headlights... had an opportunity to drive it the second night (last night) I owned it... WOW!!!! What a difference compared to the dim Headlamps on the 3rd Gen. Has any one figured a way to take the guts of the Pacifica lights and mount them in a 3rd gen assembly?

Maybe I should try to find a junk yard set and see what I can do!! Capt PJ

Jay,

Those look great! In actual driving, how is the illumination? With my stock '03 headlights I figure I am a much safer driver... have to drive slower and concentrate like hell just to see a little in front!

They light up the road much better. The high beams are exceptional. Like spot lights.

Not sure about the criticism of the low-beam projectors by the other party here in this thread. They seem to work well, have a sharp cutoff and align quite nicely. Maybe I'm missing something but I'm very pleased with them.

The Halos suck tho and I've since disconnected them from the parking lights. Just run the high, low and turn signals... .

SilverStars

IMHO, unless you can afford a complete HID replacement, save your money and buy some Sylvania SilverStars! I put them in my headlights and fogs when I bought my truck in 2005 and just replaced a fog after 3 1/2 years. I have my fogs on whenver my headlights are on. I'm very happy with the extra sight distance and brightness. I even have people flash their brights at me! PIAA has a similar lamp, but I've been happy with the SilverStars!:)

That is not good or safe, you need to aim them so they do not glare oncoming traffic.

PJay9- What you are talking about is called a retro and all the info you need can be found here. www.hidplanet.com

Understand that not all projectors are equal, and chepos off ebay will not compare to the oem versions HID or not.

This pic is of the output from my Lexus LS430 projectors. For my complete thread of my retro go to https://www.turbodieselregister.com...-transmission-discussions/191334-how-hid.html

Dam, JKloppe, I still have NOT finished my lighting upgrades, and here you are making me drool with that AWESOME photo. I have to assume that you are still NOT geeting flashed for TOO BRIGHT??

Thanks for the complements. 10,000mi and not one flash. That pic was the first night out, I have fine tuned the alignment of the lights which is a little lower than the picture.

They are not aimed high, they are just brighter than the average dim bulbs, so folks flash me! When you change the bub assembly, you don't mess with the aiming adjustments!:D

I have that problem too and I have just the regular lights that came with my truck... personally i think people are being too sensitive at night I have no problems with people driving straight at me with their brights on you arent supposed to be staring into their headlights rather watching the road ahead of you...

The way I read your post you did not aim after the 2" lift.

Of course you need to aim after a 2" lift.

:-{}To clarify, what I said was that a bulb change does not require re-aiming the headlights. You assumed that my lift was causing folks to "flash" me. In reality, #1. the headlights were re-aimed after the lift, #2. the SilverStars are brighter, hence people think my brights are on, and #3. common sense always prevails! I assure you, this is my last word on this subject!:D

LOL your funny.

common sense says aim your headlights. "#2. the SilverStars are brighter, hence people think my brights are on" yup

I didnt assume anything. I asked you a question and you could not give me a strait answer.

Silverstars do not make any more lumans than there standerd bulb. The higher kelvin colortemp makes you eyes think there is more light. This is why I think your lights are too high.

Prove me wrong. Park 25ft from a wall at night with you lights on. Measure from the ground up to the top of the main beam on the wall, from the same spot measure from the ground up to the middle of you headlight bulb.
