headlights

I am new to this forum and not up to speed on it yet, but anyone out there converted their 95-97 truck headlights to the newer 98-01 double bulb, cut refelector headlights? If so were there any problems, i. e. check engine light on permenantly? Would like any help or suggestions on how to improve the headlights short of buying a new truck.

Welcome to the TDR.



There are several member that have done this conversion. Here is the results of the search for "Sport Headlight Conversion"

It's pretty pricey. The housing alone are ~$150 each. I don't think I have seen anybody who has been disappointed with it after they completed the conversion. Also on the 97 and older trucks (maybe 98 too) the fenders required a bit of trimming to get the new housing to fit.



I'd like to do this headlight BOMB myself, but there are so many other truck projects, I don't know when I will have money left over for the headlights.
