I am having great difficulty finding a new or replacement headliner for my 90 W250. This blue headliner is separating from the cardboard backing. I have attempted to glue it back up several times, but the foam backing is disintegrating. Has anyone had this problem and found a remedy?

Thanks Bernie

Bernie,

I just went thru the same problem, try these guys auto headliner .com i ordered the large size replacement kit, it came with plenty of foam backed fabric and glue , it took about hour and a half start to finish looks just like new ... ... ... . Rick

If you don't want to do it yourself, I would take it to an upholstering shop. My friend had his headliner recovered for $75 US.

the deal is that you have to get as much of the old foam off of the cardboard as you can

than use that 3M spray adheasive on the cardboard & the foam backing on the new cloth let it tac up & stick em together

pull it all around the edges about an inch to an inch & 1/2 over the back glue & trim its super easy & you can buy your cloth at any upolstry shop Ill bet you can even order some cool paisly cloth or tie dye if you are a hippy like me;)

have fun

Headliner

Hey guys, you're all great. Rick, I will contact Auto headliner tomorrow and order the 3 yard kit. I checked out their site and feel that they sure have the answer. I've had my headliner assembly out 3 times already re-gluing the material back on. I could probably do it with my eyes closed. It sure will be nice to know that next time it will stay up. Oo.

Thanks again guys for all the quick responses,

Bernie
