The very front of my dads headliner is falling just a bit on his 96. The whole thing is in too good of shape to replace. Does not have to look perfect but has anyone used glue that has worked to hold it back up. I was thinking gorilla glue watered down and brushed on or 3m spray but wanted to ask first... please post suggestions

I would stay away from the Gorilla GLue because it foams while drying and could be a real problem. 3M makes a super strong spray adhesive that usually works well, however it can get messy and usually lets go not too long after applying it. I know you're not looking to replace it, but it may be wise to do so. Good luck.

I use Shoe Goo when duct tape will not work :-laf

You can "glob" it on, press to spread and hold to set. It is also available in most Wal-Mart type stores.

"Shoe Goo is an excellent adhesive, which can be used with a wide variety of materials. Shoe Goo is actually rubber in a tube, with solvents added to make uncured Shoe Goo more applicable for hundreds of uses. Once cured, Shoe Goo is a very tough and resilient rubber, which not only surpasses most adhesives, it can be used to create a non-slip surface, or provide an excellent waterproofing cover"

Bought It At Pep Boys, It Was About $8. I Am Pretty Sure It Was Called Headliner Glue, It Was In With The Do It Yourself Headliner Kits. I Would Imagine That Any Auto Parts Store Should Have It.

Headliner and trim shop here will do the whole job with new headliner for sixty bucks. The tech says he does more than a few Dodge trucks because the adhesive turns to dust and the whole thing falls off the board. Mine droops front and back but doesn't impair vision yet so I'll wait awhile. :D

I was an auto upholsterer for a few years and can tell you from experiance that the foam between the cloth and the board is deteriorating from heat and ozone, nothing to do but have it replaced.
