Heads up for Edge owners

I am an Edge Juice with Attitude owner that I have had for about a year. I am happy with it but I like the features offered by the Edge A2. There is a nice slick ad in the new TDR mag. I called Edge for information on upgrade :--)

They will give me $75 credit for my current setup. So not a good deal to me.



So word to the wise, when looking for enhancement features give upgrade possibilities some consideration. Sometimes it is better to delay your purchase and see what the market will produce. :-laf

In an industry that advances as fast as this one does I consider $75 to be a generious offer from the mfg for a one year old (to you) attitude. Honesty that is prop about what it cost them to build it.

I thought about waiting for the A2 before buying my Attitude, but didn't want to wait so I bought it about a month before the A2 came out. I figured I could always upgrade later if I wanted.

You don't have to buy a new Edge Juice, just upgrade the monitor, right? It's not like you spent more than a couple hundred bucks or so on the Attitude part, so a $75 credit is pretty generous. The A2 is quite pricey, and that is just for the monitor.



Even if the Attitude was $300, with a $75 credit your net was $225. Not bad for a full year of "unleashing the beast!"

Notes on upgrading to A2

My understanding from Edge is that the $1100+ price for A2 was for the whole package. A2 cannot be plugged into an older juice. My Attitude would plug into a pre-A2 juice. I don't know what a fair price for my Juice and Attitude is worth? I might consider selling if the price were right. I only have about 10k miles on the Edge. I have been completely satisfied with Edge, but like the new features.

The A2 alone is $1100 and the Edge A2 PDF states under the pic of the A2 that it works with any juice module.



I don't think you'd have a problem just plugging into the juice with the A2. It's just an Attitude controller with more features and GPS.

you can plug it in to any juice. I also heard a little rumor that edge has so many of these on the shelf that they are considering dropping the price. MD and WD are mad because edge left no margins.

I have spoken to a few Edge dealers this past week for pricing, (talk about a big gap from $735 - $950) and I was told by a couple that Edge was going to drop the J/A standard version and make them all platinum's. Has anyone else heard this? Are the only differences between the A2 and Platinum the GPS and Camera? Oh, is $735 to the door a good price for a J/A?

i talked to edge friday and they said nothing about going to platinum's, as far as i know the platinum is only for the ford. :-laf

It also sounds like that isn't the only thing that they didn't know. Oh, Diesel Power, are trannies the only NADP product that you carry. Just had some ?'s about their Heavy Hauler module.

Does anyone know how much just the A2 monitor would cost me if I were to buy one out right?
