Thought I would let everyone know what I discovered with my coach. I have a closet that can be used for a w/d combo and is wired and plumbed for them. The washer drain is tied into the vent pipe for the grey tank with a pee trap. Last couple of days after taking a shower I got a nasty sewer oder in the bedroom and after some inverstigating I found it was coming from the drain pipe for the washer. Apparently there must not have been any water in the trap to keep the odors out so I put a little bit of bleach in the trap along with some water to fill the trap to keep the odors from getting in.

So far so good no more odors and thought I would pass along what I found to those that have w/d ready closets. Might be a good idea to put a little water in the trap just incase.

If you aren't planning on using the W/D, then I'd suggest getting a rubber cap to clamp over the end. Else make sure you keep adding water every week.

Water in traps - yep - had that problem before. I don't have a W/D hookup either. Travel down the road and sitting a long time without use causes the same thing. Water dries up and first night at campground odors have come up through the shower drain. Simple fix of adding water. Thanks for the reminder.
