Thanks, Di. She read your suggestions and mentioned that the reason she has never had her other ear done was because of the pain asscociated with learning to hear again. The kids whooping and hollering, and of course now, the grand-kids, she says is unbearable. She suffers from a calcification of the small bones in the inner ear that requires the installation of a prosthetic device. She says that she will go back to Memphis and have it done when we go on the road as fulltime RVers later this year. In that manner we both can adjust at the same time by avoiding the 'outside influences'. Thanks so much - Ed

get the other aid when you can,if you let it go it might get worse.and hearing aids can only hear what you can hear,your brain will quit picking it up.got the same loss that you do,to many high track 9 and 8s.deal them down,check the internet.same aids better deals,they only last for 5 to 8 years,big rip off.good luck.
