This is my first CTD and my first post. I have an ISSPRO pyro gauge post turbo, just how accurate can I expect it to to be ,and just how hot is too hot?So far about 450 degrees is as high as I have seen.

1300 degrees pre turbo, or 1000 degrees post is about right. I run my three CTD 1000 degrees post all day long if need be. This is with the probe about 2" down stream of the turbo. 450 degrees sounds too low. All mine run about 600 at cruise speed. The direct wire type units can be tempermental at times. Check your wire conections very carefully. Even disconect them, wipe them off with a clean rag then reconect. You may need a new thermocouple or guage. Also they can't be mounted next to a radio speaker, the magnet will cause erratic behaviour.
