Heat Guns

Just an FYI... I was in Costco [Modesto, Ca. ] a week ago. . they had a Lazer heat gun 1000 degree version for about $60. 00...

great item to check tire heat for the haulers . . you can locate bearing and pressures issues quick with them... many other uses also. .



what do you use them for ???

I'm confused. Are you talking about the infared thermometers? I thought heat guns were like a blow dryer.

what do you use them for

I use one on my boat several times per season to make sure the cooling system is functioning properly, ie no sea water restrictions. Also to make sure temperature gage senders are accurate... also to check the shaft packing to make sure it is properly cooling.

I use it around the house to demonstrate to my financial manager how important it is to close the shades in wintertime.

I've used it to verify that the pyrometer is accurate (at least at idle/cooldown temps).



And the laser sight is fun to play with.....

There's a few things to do with one!!
