I haven't looked into this much but I was wondering if there is a way to re-wire the seats so I don't have to have the truck running to make them work. Is there a way to hook them up to work off keyside? I was wondering how much will they frain the battery. Say I were to sleep in truck and just use seats for heat. Will it start in morning? Wont do it too often be for when im sitting in not too cold of temps and seat heat would be great.

I've got heated seats and I would just leave them hooked up the way they are. If you use them with just the battery, I think you will find yourself stranded. You might want to consider using a seperate set of batteries for this purpose. If you want to find out how much they draw, put a battery charger on it set the key on and then hit the seat heaters and see how much the meter jumps. Good luck.

They are a big drain I guess. A friend of mine has them on his 3500 and if you almost kill or lug the truck to hard it shuts them off automaticly. I would say you would have a dead battery for sure the next morning. Maybe buy a high idler and just leave it running??
