Can you rebuild the Trackbar bushing at bolt end?

We had a little frost this morning, thought I would use my heated mirrors. After a little bit the passenger side cleared off, drivers side still frosty. So Rolled down the window beat on mirror, it finally came on. Has anyone had these apart ? Or had this problem ?Appears to be a loose wire/connection. I hate to take to the stealership if I can fix it fairly easy.

The mirror snaps off. Just be carefull when you pull it off. There is a wire connector behind the glass that could be loose. The glass and plastic backing snaps on to a round piviting mechanism that rotates the mirror. Good luck

Identical problem here!

Outlawram,

Please clarify. When I tugged on the mirror last week as hard as I dared, it didn't come off. Do you just grasp the edges and pull straight out? I tried, but pulled hard enough that I was afraid I was going to break something. Do you pry up one side, pull evenly both sides at once, or what?

Broken Heated Mirror

I looked over at my passenger side mirror a few mornings ago and saw a verticle crack in the mirror. I know I did not hit anything, I'm guessing the cold temps at night did it. Nothing has moved, but it's sure got a crack. Is it tough or expensive to replace?

When I took mine off the mirror was cracked so I didnt have to be to carefull. I just pulled from one corner. Then got replacement at junk yard for 5 bucks. When I installed it I pushed right in the center of the mirror and it snaped right on.

Got it fixed

Finally had time to fix my mirror, here is how I got it off without breaking the glass. Folded mirror forward (roll window down for elbow room) Put screwdriver behind glass apply a little pressure, hold trouble light in teeth with another screwdriver pop the tabs off of the rotating motor. Once you get it started keep working screwdriver to pop the tabs and it will let the mirror come off. Mine had a spade connector that was loose. To re-install as mentioned before push in on the middle of the mirror and it snaps in place.
