Has anyone had a problem with there heated mirrors? They worked fine for the last two winters, but as of late I am having a problem, at times the passanger side does not work another time neither of them work. And of course there are time when the both work. Anyone else have this problem. Anyone have the solution for the fix?

:( Sounds like you have an intermittent open in the wiring. Best bet is to find the connector plug to the mirror and do a voltage check at that point. Examin the plug for fit and look at the wiring for any breaks. You can do a resistance check on the heating element in the mirror. Divide the problem in half at that plug. On one side is power. Do have it when you are suppose to? Is it correct in voltage? Do you have any broken wires? On the other side is the mirror. Can you read the resistance?? Is is correct? If no resistance, is there a broken wire? Is the plug ok, does it have a pushed pin? It is a start. Good luck:D

Tom,

Your main problem is that you live in Penna. Driving over all the bumps.

I'm not really kidding. I had a corvette once that the electric windows did the same thing. Turned out that the bumps were causing the electric plugs to loosen. Some times the left window would work then not. Same for the right. A mechanic pulled the insode doors apart, found no obvious problem but pushed all connectors together. No more troubles.  :p

Could also be a corrosion problem on the exterior connectors as well, especially living in an area with a healthy snowfall each winter. ;)
