My heated seats will not come on with the dash switch. No lights on the switch when depressed for either side. I have pulled the switches out and I have power to only one pin on the wiring harness on both sides. I have tried to swap relays but that did not work. I have power to one post on the relay also. Can anyone suggest something else to look for? I live in Fla. and have probably only used the heaters three times prior to last weekend when it got down to 28 deg. I have read some post on this and know that a wire can break within the seat cushion but I just can't believe this is the case given both sides will not operate. Anyone out in TDR land have this problem before please feel free to chime in. Thanks to whom ever in advance.

Heated seats in Florida? You got to be kidding.

A little more bran in your diet and ALL your seats will be heated.

Thanks for your comments Bighammer. The truck was not ordered that it just happened to be equipped that way.

Sorry for my first response. It wan't meant to inflame you or anybody. I just couldn't resist.

Do you have an ohm meter? If you do and can figure which wires go to the elements, you could see if you have an open circuit. It does seem odd that you have power to one wire on each side, but it may have some kind of odd setup (relays, timer, etc) for control. It also seems unlikely that both sides would fry at the same time and after so little use.

I did get to look in my manual this afternoon and couldn't find anything in the wiring diagrams for seat heat. Only power seat motors and switches. Maybe it wasn't available in 94 models? I wish I had them sometimes.

Maybe somebody with a newer book can help you out.

bighammer, dont worry, no hurt fellings here, I just want to get a handle on this. I can always take it to the stealer but wanted to see if I could fix . It's one of those features I can live without but it's there and not working so I wanted to see if I could fix it. I think I'm going to need a service manual judging by the amount of responses I've got so far.
