2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Heated Seats

DOES ANYONE KNOW IF THE 99 RAM HAS THE WIRING FOR HEATED SEATS? HAS ANYONE PUT HEATED SEATS IN A 99 RAM? WHAT I HAVE IS A FULLY LOADED 99 SPORT WITH LEATHER INTERIOR.

I thought in the 2nd generations the leather and heated seats were a package and you couldn't get one without the other? I wish you luck on making that work - I would love to put heated leather in my 99.

Can't answer your question re: the 99 RAM, but FYI the heated leather seats were what sold my somewhat reluctant wife on our 01 CTD. Once she got the feel of that warm leather on her toosh I had no problem convincing her we needed the truck.

I saw on Motorweek TV today that you can purchase a kit to add to most any vehicle for $100. Two heating elements per seat.

Do a search for Katzskins or something like that, they have a kit for our trucks so all you have to do is add it to the leather seats you already have rather than shelling out for new seats.

I've been using an aftermarket heat system from this place and they've been working just great so far this year. Pretty easy to install.

JGK , I tried to place an order with them and it went nowhere. Still trying to get a response. My wife has wanted heated seats for years.

I JUST FOUND THIS SITE FOR HEATED SEATS AND IT LOOKS LIKE TO BE AN OK SYSTEM. THEY HAVE THEIR OWN POWER LEVER SWITCH HIGH LOW, BUT I WOULD BUY THE FACTORY SWITCH AND MAKE IT LOOK STOCK. THANKS FOR THE HELP GUYS.

Odd. I hope you have luck. How long ago did you try? If it's been in the last day or 2, I wonder if they've been knocked out by the storm. I notice they are in North Carolina.
