all you need to do is run a copper coil in the washer tank that has coolent running through it... then add an espar or webasto pre heater to the engine to heat the engine coolent :-laf

I've seen this done. It could be as easy as routing your washer line around your upper radiator hose a few times.

Depending on how cold it gets where you live, you might not want it to get too hot. You could break the windshield.

It only took one cracked windshield for me to figure out that warm water and cold glass don't mix well. Before you spend your money try some Prestone Windshield De-Icer Washer Fluid. Works excellent but must be used at 100%, run your washer reservoir empty before switching over.

After dealing with the ice and snow this year it looks like this will be my next bomb.

The owner contacted us wanted us to become a dealer for them... They are based here in Farmington Michigan... .

I always just put a bottle of rubbing alcohol in with my washer fluid. it will melt the ice and frost and keep the fluid from freezing only costs you $0. 59 too.

I agree, even in 0 temps it works well!

According to web site temp doesn't get above 142. They claim it doesn't break the glass. Cadillac and Lincoln had that problem with the heated windshields they put in. Looks like the manufacturers are going to be offering this as an option on tne '05s.

Oh. I thought we were talking about a heated washer fluid. Not a heated windshield. Eric

Eric,

This is heated washer fluid. It is offered as two models: one model automatically turns on wipers and the base model the operator turns on wipers. The automatic version is what will be offered on '05 models as an option. The reference to heated windshields was because if they got a chip in them the heat would cause cracking. I'm not affliated with this company in any way, saw it in Detroit News and thought it was an interesting option.
