Has anyone tried a set of these from Geno's and do they work?

I found a couple of threads asking the same question but no answers.

Thanks..... Doug

Its a little early to tell yet, hasn't snowed or frozen yet. Will let you know later, haven't tried them yet. Lotta yets in there. :) I hope I never need them!!

Larry

Yeah, It's too early this year. I was hoping someone had put them on last winter and had some experience with them. I went ahead and ordered a set so I hope they work. I like the idea of the built in thermostat so you don't have to mess with another switch.

Thanks... ... Doug

The first one of us that use them, or anyone else that has them and uses them, post on here and let us all know. OK?

I hope it is quite a while before I have to test them out. Seeing what part of the country your in, we'll probably get to test them about the same time.

They run $45. 00 each plus shipping.

I just got mine installed but frankly I'm not too anxious to test them out. Not looking forward to our first ice storm.

They work great! I don't have them on my Ram yet but I had them on my last truck. They are just like a heated seat though so it takes them a min or so to warm up. I mainly used them while plowing snow while it was snowing. Because before the only way to keep the wipers free of ice was to run the defrost on high and then it just got way to hot in the truck. After the heated wipers it wasn't a problem any more. The only thing is I don't think the heated wipers work as well in the rain they seem alot stiffer than the stock wipers.

Another way to keep ice from forming on the wipers is to leave the heat completely off and keep a window open (or at least cracked). No melt = no ice. Gotta wear a coat and maybe gloves for this method but it works.

Badunit, you should try our winter. Unless you're completely drunk and causing snow inside with your own breath, leaving a window open is not an option here :D. Dan

Yep, thick coats, that's what I meant.

Seriously, I meant to keep the window below freezing so the snow won't melt. Might not take much to keep it that cold if it's well below freezing outside.

Yeah that is another way of doing it but I like to keep it warm and comfortable in my truck. ;) Plus if you keep the window down you get snow in your lap, I tried that one :D. $80 for the wipers is worth it if you don't want to snap the ice off the wipers all the time.

Well I got mine installed. This is the first thing I've added to the truck that I'm not looking forward to using.

I have a feeling that time is just around the corner though.
