The cable is not automatically included with the truck unless it has a cold weather package. The block heater is there but cord maybe not. SK is right, if indeed the cord is there to start with. Cord would be visible around the filter area, if included. If not, The heater will have a cap on it.

I recently purchased a new 2500 Big Horn Ram with the 6.7 Cummins Engine and 68RFE 6 speed automatic. I looked for the block heater cable on the right side of the truck in the bumper opening but did not find it. I looked along the frame on the new truck where the the cable runs on my 2011 3500 chassis cab but did not see a cable there. The dealer is telling me the Cummins does not come with a block heater. I thought all 6.7 Cummins came with a block heater and if so how do I find where to connect the block heater cord? V/R DDT

Look behind the oil filter to see if you have a cable hooked to the heater.

Your dealer knows not of what he speaks. Never trust him on any important subject. Remember he’s a car salesman. All Cummins pickups have a block heater. The cord on the other hand, is an option that only comes with the cold weather package. Genos has a good deal on them. The heater element is located behind the oil filter on the block.
