heater cable problem

hey soot sniffers! got me a little problem:{ my temp control cable(red)on my 93 4x4 broke and was wondering if anyone knew if they are still available? going to see if i can repair this one! thanks again! jlight:-laf

JL, I have an extra one if you get desperate.

Was it getting stiff? I found on mine that it wasn't the cable, but the shaft in the heater box had rust and was binding. I ran it on the wire wheel and it works easy now. It never worked that good before!

Caution, you have to remove the heater box to fix it. :{

all fixed pete sorry didnt get back sooner went to the dealer ordered one and you are dead on it was the door in the heater box sprayed pb blaster on the bottom pivot and kept working it till she freed up! works like a bute!
