Heater Problem?

Went to plug the block heater in last night and it tripped the GFI. Tried a different circuit which was also on a GFI tripped it also. Anyone ever had that problem? Haven't had a chance to check it yet.

Unscrew the ring where the cord plugs into the heater and remove the cord. Ohm the heater and the cord and be sure the heater isn't shorted to the block.

Found problem, corrosion on male plug. Everything ohmed ok, cleaned plug, works fine.
