Installed a door form Heater Treater. After some hot weather there is a part problem. The adhesive that holds the rubber seals to the doors is failing. Talked with H.T. and they are aware of the problem. Rubber seal comes loose from door and catches in fan motor Assy. and binds door. With the cooler weather and the heat on it also comes loose. If installing any doors I would inspect the seal for possible problems before going thru all the work it takes to change the doors. .

I have installed quite a few heater treater kits with no known issues to date. When it comes to a junky plastic door vs a possibe adhesive problem, I'll look close and take my chances. That said, thanks for the heads up.

Going on four years with no issues. Might be a recent issue with the adhesive they're currently sourcing.

How the air flow after new doors?? Did you do all 4 doors?? Just noting it looks like the metal doors don't seal half as good as the plastic doors. I mean the plastic doors "shut" off the compartment in question better.. Don't really know if it makes any "real" diff. Just noting it and was trying to add some sealing tape around the "window/hole" the metal closes on and that doesn't seem t work without serious mods / tweaking both the rubber on the metal door and the new seal around the hole in question.. Don't know if its worth the effect lol.
