I am really interested in a heavy duty replacement bumper, but have a concern. Are the grill guards easily removable for maintenance under the hood on any of these brands? I am always under the hood and it looks like a PIA if they aren't removable.

TIA,

Dan

On mine, they are welded on, but it just serves as a place to sit when I'm that deep into the engine bay. Overal, not too much of a PITA if you ask me.

i have ruenel bumpers front and rear, front brush guards are welded on nice place to stand or sit while working on the engine. plenty of room to cleen grille or open hood

Installed a Pro-Zapp several years ago - no brush guards, just the flat SS top about as wide as my foot! makes a great workbench when under the hood! Its wide enough my beagle used to be able to sit and supervise!!

ditto that and the one that's on my Dodge even has room to stand in front of the radiator with the hood up :-laf

I have a Buckstop bumper, grill gaurd is removable but does not get in way any how and you should see what it does to "BEMERS" in SoCal traffic. :-laf

I got my bumper from Reunel MFG. . Kinda pricey but I thought it was worth it for how beefy they make their bumpers. They will make your bumper however you need it to fit your truck.
