They were installed on that truck. I think that it was just a slotted stock rotor. The rotors aren't the problem, it's the little calipars and pads. A good set of pads and you shouldn't need the slots - they're there to disapate any gas build up from the pads getting hot.



Good quality pads (properly broken in helps) don't produce as much gas as the cheap ones. The gas comes from the binder used in the production of the friction material. There are a bunch of good books on this (and other applicable subjects) by a gentleman named Carrol Smith.
 
Were those the AGRs? I don't have the issue handy. AGR (I think that's right) was featured a while back in the TDR. The rotors are slotted and have holes.

AGR sounds right, I don't remember the holes but then, I don't remember where I left my 1/2" shallow 12 point socket either. :(
