I have heavy gray smoke off the bottom and the turbo is slow to spool. Seams like I have to realy get my foot into it to make any power. Once boost is up seams to pull alright, not what it should though. Seams turbo is behind. Maybe a boost leak somewhere. I don't know. Boost seams to always stay low when cruising 7 lbs. I have a B-1 with a 10 plate. Star wheel ajusted up. Lots of temps. Does not like to lug in higher gears. Temps come up and boost is slow to climb till about 15 lbs and then takes off. By then temps are too hot.

Thanks

anothe thing, I noticed tonight at idle that the truck has a slight shake to it. Any chance that I'm having problems with one of my injectors?

Start searching the intake plumbing from the turbo to the engine, maybe a loose clamp somewhere.....

Bigger turbos have lower cruise boost numbers. I see 2-10# with mine (between 55-75mph). The cruise EGTs are about 150* higher as well.

Gray smoke usually means you need more fuel to make it black again. :D I think your turbo is a bit big for your current fueling. Before the 370s I had went in, my smoke was gray with the HX-40 installed. Put in the bigger injectors, and it went back to black. :D Slow boos to 15#, then takes off, is another thing that tells me you need more fuel. Get the boost up faster, and the EGTs will slow down.

It seams like the boost is bleeding off. If you are not into the throtle it is hard to maintain boost. I think I have a boot leak. Will try the boost test.
