Camper worked great!!

Ok, here is the delma. I have a 04 3500 CC 4x4 dually 6spd on 255x70 22. 5" with 4. 11 gears and a jake brake. It has a bully dog power pup and a edge ez stacked right now with 5" straight pipe and a clutch( i also use an AFE drop-in). I have a limited budget and my truck is GREAT as is! But, of course I want more! I tow all the time just below 26k!!! I just got a new T-320 Bobcat 10k, trailer 4-5K, attachments 3-4k, truck???? (what is the weight of these things???) 8k? So, I am always pretty heavy! But, I want more performance loaded and unloaded. I know I need some fueling mods first and foremost! I was going to fab up some sort of larger diameter line with a pusher pump and maby some larger fittings. How about that new dual feed line kit? Any word on that and towing applications? I assume that I will just be able to run my boxes on higher settings right (currently on edge about 40-50 and bully dog on tow 70?)? So, now I am going to need to cool things down alot! What turbo should I use, and I really can't afford a set of towing twins right now. There have to be some heavy towing gear jammers out there that can help!!! I really appricate all the help in advance!!!

towing

I share your dilemma of cash short. Twins seem to be the ultimate answer. From other posts I am considering water/meth injection for combined cooling and power. Then later twins

You've got guages, right? (didn't see you mention them)...

I tow heavy like you (maybe more), and my EGTs are a serious problem when encountering any type of hill. I've tried a methanol injection kit, but to me, it seems best suited for hot-rodding & racing (maybe dyno pulls) than for real-world towing. Others may disagree, but I doubt any other users are using it successfully while pulling the loads I am.

Consequently, I'm saving up for twins. That seems to be the only way for some real relief. I tried big singles on previous trucks with some success once at speed, but the trucks would smoke like a train until you get up on top of the turbo.

Believe me, I'd love a "single" solution, but from what I can tell, only twins will offer quick response when taking off loaded, plus significantly cooler temps while pulling the hills.

Heavy towing ?

Mark... My registered gross is 26k and my trucks legal rating is just under that. Tried hotshot for a while and pushed the limits some, did not work out well. My truck was being used up rapidly especially the transmission which definitely could not deal with the heavier loads. Thats when I switched to RV's to ease up on the truck some. I am definitely going back to a trailer with a load so I can get paid both ways.

I know, that RV hauling doesn't pay anything at all anymore, neither does driveaway. Have my Ram registered at 34,200 in 11 states, think I might sell off the 40'GN and just pick up a 2 car, and drop IFTA and apportioned plates myself. Ran into a poor guy in NM last week driving out school busses to Cali from In. , said he gets "paid" 96CPM, then a train pass back to In. , won't catch me ever doing that!!
