with 3. 54 gears and a 6 speed since I put bigger tires on 35" my rpm ratio to mph has lowered. now I feel like Im always lugging in town driving either 2200 rpms about to shift or driving 1500-1700 feeling like I need to down shift. I dont know if I should change to 4. 10 gears or if a cam helix2 will give me earlier power and better feel. I know its not going to change my rpm's. I hope I'm making sense on this. what do you all think?

To give you an answer, the helix2 cam helped me out a lot, but I am not sure whether it was the low end or what. I have been happy with the difference it made, but I am not knowledgeable enough to say what cused it.

I'd compare the feel of a cam to swapping in a size smaller exhaust housing. Not a huge difference, but it'll move the rpm your turbo wakes up at down 100-200 rpm. Probalby not a 100% fix, but it will help a bit.

I've seen a truck running a Helix 2, EZ, 35/40 hybrid and mach 4's, no smoke. Does that help answer the question? I'm a common rail guy so experiences won't help you much.
