Stuck here also. not a total loss. workin on the Pete show trucks for macungie next weekend. not what was on the ajenda , but we all can't be in muncie . next year for sure. be safe all!
I'm here too. Just watching the kids while my wife is at her college class reunion
Can I get an opinion here? I have an appointment June 16 at Janetty Racing to get my KDP killed and was goiong to spend some extra money also.
I only have enough to do either guages or one of his power kits. I'll probably go with the guages now and add one of his power kits at a later date . But it would be nice to get some extra power now. What do you guys think? I don't tow and I don't race (anymore) I just drive the truck. What do you guys recommend?
Thanks.
P. S. I just want the power kit so I can say I have "x" amount of power/ torque (bragging rights )
It's the ATHS truck show next weekend. (antique truck historical
Sicicoty) (sp. ) lots of neat old trucks there. Just up the road from ya Paul. we usualy take a couple of old petes weve had for years. nice show , lots of fun if your into odler stuff.
Older Stuff!... . Man, I am older stuff. I learned how to drive in a 1958 "B" model. Does the show run all weekend? My Son wanted to go to the Buck, and sweety is gettin impatient about the half done honey-do list. It would probably be cheeper to go to Macungie On the other hand, I may have to do both.
I ended up stuck at home, too. My bad, I actually thought I could put a set of headers in my Mustang GT with no problems. Won't try that again, not on Muncie weekend. Sam616G - Go with gauges first. I'm not sure about the auto's as I have a 5-sp, but you might be able to slide your plate forward for a little extra. The guys with auto's would have to chime in here. If you go with too much power, you'll be needing a new transmission. Something else to be careful of - once you get BOMBitis, you can't stop.
:{ I was all set to leave for muncie at noon on friday when i got a call that I had to work on saturday! I knew it was going to rain here on saturday and the job would end up being canceled but i had to stay home to be sure. And sure enough it rained and the job was canceled!!!! Well now i am sitting here slightly bummed counting down the days till next year! At least I can look forward to the Buck next saturday. Hope to see you guys there! kevin
Paul, its mostly sat. and it's a mack lovers heaven!!! it's actually fri, sat and early sun. but most of the show is on Sat. i plan on doing the buck as i live closer to it. but ya never know.
my dad and brother are taking a 65 narrow nose pete to the show. (our big hood 78 isnt ready ) look for the blue , yellow and silver pete w/ a 22" chrome texas bumper on it if you go.
ask the skinny kid w/ it if Scott came might see you there or the buck,. happy truckin.
Scott
Ps if you come to the buck look for the garnet and silver QC w/ the twins, that'll be me
Regardless of which one I end up at I'll track ya down.
Macungie would be closer and more convenient, but, my Son really wants to got to the Buck. Then their is that honey-do thing to consider If I have a lite week at work I can get some stuff done in the evenings to try and keep her happy and maybe do both
Go with the gauges first. I think Ted Jannetty will tell you that too. Or else you'll be wondering whats going on under your hood that you should know about. And like Rams-n-Hogs said, you can slide your stock fuel plate forward for now.
