Well, after my truck was totalled I couldn't find a Dodge I could get too interested in... I was truly "in love" with mine. I had to have something and a good friend that I had recently "converted" to Cummins said that the 7. 3 Ford had a pretty good thing going, so I gave it a shot, and this is what I ended up with

I am looking for another Dodge, the Ford just doesn't have the pulling power I am looking for. It seems to struggle with a 5,000 pound boat behind it. Anyway my question is what is a good price for a used 03-04 555-305?

First off, Nice ford... I dig that 7. 3L sound.

But to give you an idea, I took in an 03 Ram 2500 QC 4x4 with 305/6-spd (50kmiles) for $22500, and retailed it for $24990. 00 - I think we ended up selling it for $24250. 00

And then we also a really clean 04 3500 for $33900 (seems high though)

So anyway, maybe that will help ;)

I appreciate the help Tomeygun..... I wish I were closer to your neck of the woods, I'd be buying my vehicles through ya' :)

A lot of the 03-04's around here with 25k-40k are around $30,000 or so. I may have to make a run up there and see what we can do :D

Yep, the 7. 3s are pretty good. I've always likes the looks of the SD when they came out. :D You could get a programmer or a chip for the ECM. Make sure to keep a spare cam sensor with you. Some engines go through them, and others, the sensor will last 100k+ miles.

Check and keep the supplemental coolant additives up to prevent cavitation erosion of the liners.

Use an engine oil like Rotella T or Delo 400. The oil needs to have a lot of anti-foaming additives to prevent poor engine operation/performance.

We have an 02 7. 3 PS as a "ranch truck" and it is killer at towing the 5er with 4 horses in it. Everyone that drives it, drives the Poop out of it and it is still ticking along. 65k miles so far. The 6. 0 is a POS as I see it. You have a nice looking rig. Glad you got the 7. 3! You will like it! We like ours, though it is a 4x4 DRW :)
