Competition New Carli suspension VS kore suspension

I'm confused!! Am I posting in the wrong category? I'm looking for help with getting a good setup to start sled pulling, but nobody has responded :{ . I am wanting to make my daily driver a part time sled puller that can still be reliable enough for the street and be able to pull a loaded trailer, then ocasionally pull a sled. Please I'm new to the whole diesel performance deal, and could really use the help. Thanks! :D ;) :-laf ______________________________________ 02' std cab 4x4 auto isspro boost, pyro, transmission temp, fuel

most of the big compition guys are either at truck pulls , repairing from the last ruck pull or getting read for the next truck pull

They will stop in and see whats up once in a while give them time THEY are here just very busy this time of the season

Check www.haisleymachine.com, www.Scheiddiesel.com and www.enterpriseengine.com.

You need to build your auto for pulling. Some 150hp-200hp injectors, Hot Rod Vp44. Traction Bars, Fass fuel system, Manifold, Sledpuller turbo (Haisley, HTT, II, Scheids).

AFE air intake, Drag Comp, Redline box fuel box etc. A good cam too!

Weight rack, blocked or beefed up suspension.

Pulling hitch or clevis not to exceed 26" height.

Get ready to install a Dana 80.

With a setup like above should get you into the 500hp area and make you somewhat competitive and successful at local type pulls.

There's a subject matter expert (SME's) you can PM, he goes by the handle “Sledpuller” He knows everything about pulling plus, he comes highly recommended w/a plethora of victory's including a 1972 Melvin County State Fair first place trophy... . give him a call... ...

Take a look at Sledpullers truck... he gets alot of greef around here but his truck is set up nicely. Also look at Big Bad Dodge, his set up is also very nice! Both guys/trucks have had a little trouble this season, but who doesn't have a "bad" season now and then.

If your pulling with an auto... . there are great companies out there for that. Ask around. Right now I believe Haisleys is recommending Goerends products. I know guys have had pretty good luck pulling with ATS as well. I know DTT makes a great transmission, but I have not heard anyone saying they do well at pulls.

What class do you want to run in? Depending on what class will change what you can and can't do. Go to the DHRA website and obtain a DHRA Sled Pulling Rule book. That will tell you the REQUIRED equipment, and how far you can modify and be legal.

I'd highly recommend a set of ladder bars, driveshaft loops and a fist full of money. Things break, that's the way sled pulling is. Those items will help, but wont' stop it from happening.
