Hello from another new member

I wanted to say hello and thank you for all the informative posts!

I used to have a 95 2500 4x4 454ci Suburban w/ 110K (almost all hwy. miles). Well this year the frame cracked almost completely around the pass. side motor mount and was working it's way down the frame rail. I asked a welder about his experiences and he said he'd repaired the frames of late model chevies and fords but no dodges. He specifically referred to late model ford truck frames as "cheesy. "

Eight hours later I took home the best truck/engine combo I have ever driven. Thank goodness my wife was with me or I would have gone home with a Tundra. She's the one who reminded me "haven't you always wanted a CTD?" So we called the credit union and stretched the loan.

Sorry for the run on I just love the truck and the forum!

You have a smart wife! I took that Tundra detour, on my way to the CTD. I bought a 2001 Tundra because I could not afford the CTD. Had it for 10 months and was bored to death!!! Tundras are nice trucks but NO personality. I got lucky and found a great deal on my CTD, now I am happy. It is alway best to follow both your heart and your mind

Welcome aboard,Phord frames cheesy?But according to all the Phord guys I talk to fords are the strongest toughest work trucks out there and our Dodges are just good for daily drivers . But I only pull a 580c. k. Case on a 23' G. N. (over 20,000 lbs). Seriously tho welcome aboard and watch out for the BOMBing bug. And by the way you've got a good woman there. I'm still single. Hopefully I'll find a girl that will let me buy another C. T. D. over a toyota or a mini-van . Doug
