I want to install one of those Hellwig rear sway Bars...

A friend at work tried this weekend to install one and gave up...
He has a Y2K 2500 regular cab. .

He said something about
"No Way. . It won't fit... The way the shocks are the bar hits the Diff Cover. . "

He did spend 4-6 hours trying and finally gave up...

If you look a Dodge Factory setup it uses 1/3 of the hardware that the Hellwig does...

I'd rather have Hellwig's larger diameter bar... but... .

If I have to go to the Dodge version. . How and Where do I order it???

Mopar For Less???

Anyone got a Part Number for a "Kit" ??

How about the breakdown... with all the individual P/N's needed to complete the job???

Thanks All!!
Larry

I installed a factory sway bar on my 94 2wd and it wasn't an option that year. A little drilling was all I did and it fits great. A good parts man at the dealer should be able to set you up with everything you need. About $200. 00 or so in parts. It does make a big difference in the handling.

I installed the Hellwig rear sway bar, a few years ago, in less than an hour. No problems, very easy and I don't recall doing any drilling. Works great!

97,000 miles and counting.

I put the Hellwig on a few years ago, no problem.
I just wonder if it will clear a MagHytec cover.

Sorry, for the mess ups, i'm just learning computers. I am a Manufacturers Rep & Distributor for a product that actually works better than a sway bar. It also gives the truck many other performance improvements by
stabilizing the rear suspension. It is easy to install. I submitted an add under
POTENTIAL BUSINESS June 14, but it hasn't been posted yet. We are not suppose to push
our own products on the forum, so I can't say
to much about it here. Contact me if you want more information or look for the add when it is posted.

No problems putting the Hellwig on a 96,97 99 2500 trucks here. All were 4x4. The lower shock mount plates should be one long and one short. I have a used one from a 97 for sale.
Good luck.

Anyone got the Hellwig part # for the bar that fits well on a 2500 4X4 ?

Hellwig part #7626 fits all Dodge 1500, 2500, 3500, 1995-1997. It's a 1 1/8" bar. This info is straight from the Hellwig brochure (1997). Call 800 435-5944 for a new brochure or maybe they have a web site by now.

How much as you asking for the used bar?
Will it work on 96 3500 2WD?

What is your email?

Can you swap out the stock bar with the Helwig?
