I think I have a bad connection or brake switch. It has hung up in park. Once I got it out and did not have the brake on so I figure it is the brake switch. Any advice on how I can get it on the road and to the dealer for warranty repair? Thanks
Are you parked on a hill with the front wheels turned?
Before you call anyone, do yourself a favor. Start the truck, then press the brake. Try (will all your strength) to turn the wheel left while moving the shift lever. If that doesn't work, try again, this time turning right.
It just might be that you have the steering in a pressure bind against the steering whell lock.
If you remove the knee blocker under the stering wheel you will have access to the solenoid mounted on the shift cable, unplug it and you should be good to drive it in. I would check the fuse for the brake switch first.
