Help! My Truck Is Stuck In 4WD!

My transmission torque converter lockup is very intermittent and has been back to the dealer 4 times. The last time they replaced the converter and pump. The truck used to vibrate when the converter locked but now doesn't lock. I've checked for signal to the trans OK and when looking found loose bell housing bolts, Nice job they did on it, also have a banging under truck on passenger side under floor of truck over bumps.

At this point I want the truck replaced due to not being sure what else dealer may have screwed up.

Does anybody have experience with Chrysler and the lemon law???

Do I need to get a lawyer, I have talked to one he says it could take several months, or will they be cooperative at replacing my truck? I bought it to use not look at.

This is ridiculous $40K and they cant fix it after 4 trys.

Before it went in last time, customer care had been notified and they said to fill out lemon law card & send in, rep drove truck, couldn't get vibration but did get solenoid code. they didn't replace the solenoid either. I get 12mpg with no load and if I tow 6. 5mpg

I love the truck but don't trust it anymore, I tow a 38' travel trailer 11,500lbs with my family

Any Ideas

Try to have another dealer check the truck, There are several Dodge dealers in my area, Some are not worth much but there are a few great dealers to work with.

I had a 2004 Durango bought back by Chrysler close to a year ago. They agreed to buy it back without any problems once you get the Chrysler Rep not the Tech involved. But be patient because they bring in a third party that handles the actual details and that part takes awhile. Then, allot of Dealerships will not cooperate easily because there really is nothing in it for them and it takes them awhile to get their money. Next time you are at the Dealer, tell them to contact the area rep for Chrysler. You cannot call them direct, it has to be done through the service manager. If you have anymore questions let me know because there is more to it!

I called the dealer before I even got home to tell him it wasn't fixed. He had the service writer drive the truck after the repair and said it was fine. As soon as I got on the highway I knew it wasn't working right. Should I call customer care? the rep they sent last time didn't think the problem was significant even after driving a 05 that got 5. 5 mpg higher than mine and it only had 10 miles on it. Guess he hasn't been to the fuel pumps, also he had never driven a diesel or a 1 ton. I dent think he was a good person to determine if truck was OK

Keep kickin and screamin, that guy was stroken you, thats their job to minimize things. I'd be walkin in with a dbl barrel shot gun.
