I need help finding proper set up for overdrive clutch pack. I have lost overdrive for the second time. I keep blowing the overdrive plate seal. First second and third work great. I need book or copy of book on the 48re and to buy borrow or steal the set up tool. Live in central ill.

If you use the products from Tony at Dunrite his instructions and replacement seals take you through the entire trans and keep you from wasting time with folded over clutch pack seals. Higher trans pressures require more than a valve body. I've been quite satisfied for paying him for his knowledge.

If you keep loosing seal on the od piston you beter check out the whole support b/c if it is bad, you will keep loosing seals, and you will need to replace it and that will require taking the whole trans apart.

i have the book and some other info for the 47re i think they are the same, if you need to use them, also that tool is not needed, i built my 47re trans and overdrive unit without one, all i used was a flat spacer and a press. pm me if you need the books
