help!!84 dodge crewcab to cummins questions

hey,maybe somebody thats done this swap can help me,my question is did you have to modify the firewall,notch it,beat the heck out of it or did you leave it stock?

2nd question,did you have to change the core support to a later one or is there room for a 5. 9 without these mods?

I have the gasser out of the truck,and the cummins ready to go in,i was taking some measurements and it looks like the firewall needs "adjustment"!

it should work just fine if you use the 93 core support its tight but there is room as for anything else everything bolts right back up I am in the process of rebodying my truck right now and so far so good and I am useing a 1985 crewcab body but the body lines from 80 1/2 to 93 were all the same hope this helps
 
ok,i knew the bodys were the same,mine sure seems tight!

I may notch the firewall just to make it easier,move the engine back 4-5''

my engine came out of a bluebird bus,and my pans sump may be too long.

i'm using the cross member with the front mount out of the bus.

andthe allison transmission with the side mounts that weld to the frame.

I used a 89 as my doner truck for my 84 crewcab conversion did not have do anything to firewall had to change the wiper motor for clearance 89 motor is at 90 deg. instead of straight down
