Ok this truck has been perfect for me untill I decided to put it up for sale. I left a stop sign today and put it on the floor. It rean five untill about 2500 rpm than it started to spudder a bit droped about 250 rpm and started blowing white smoke. The whole time I kept the pedal on the floor. It still accelerated and shifted gears, but very slowly. I let off of it and when it got into overdrive I got on it again and it ran fine. It did this everytime I tried it. Whats the deal. It a 97 12v with a stock automatic and the plate is currently out. The transmission still shifts great. Its about 20 degrees here, but the truck had been driven and running all day off and on so it wasn't cold. It had sat and idled for about 15 minutes before all this happened. The only diiference in the truck today than usual was I put some farm (red) fue in it. I added a anti gel injector cleaner to it though so I wouldn't think this would be the problem.

I filled up in New Jersey once and made it to northern New York (Winter time) and the truck would not pull any grades and I was running Power Service additive. Finally changed the fuel filter and everything was fine, the filter had 9600 miles on it, It took that long before it waxed up. I would bet on the fuel and/or filter.
