I installed a 60" tailgate light bar on my 06 Megacab. One of the steps of the instructions say to run the red wire up to the battery. This bar has a red wire (12V power), 4 pin connector, and white wire (Reverse light). I hooked this up this way and it works great, however when the truck shuts off, it never does. What wire do I tap in the back that is an ignition wire or, since the wire is already run up the battery, what fuse can I jump off of? Will the spare work on the TIPM? Please advise.

Are you plugged into the trailer 7 pin plug? If you are, your plugged into the hot tap led. A four pin-seven pin plug is available and you should be able to just plug it in and have it work. Can't imagine a hot wire to the battery. with a four pin plug.

I have an extra 4 pin under the truck. I left the seven pin alone. After that there was a red and white wire left to connect. The white is supposed to go to the reverse lights and the red up to the battery. I ended up repurposing Fuse 33 (10A) for this. Seems to work just fine. It was a royal pain in the butt. If there is an ignition power supply back there please let me know. I would rather just tap into it there then run the wire up. I am willing to take it all out and just splice in the back.
