guys... . i know you're not implying this, but let me say again... i am not slamming the tdr. . i am slamming this one guy and making sure every body is on guard. but then again two weeks ago john strenkowski (cpff) sends me his amsoil replacement block adaptor before i even have the check written!!! that REALLY screws up my pi$$ed off hate mode and restores my faith in humanity... at least as it pertains to the tdr, which i've come to know as more above board than most places.

arcticat. . good idea i'll try that one.

rednut... its just a little cheaper maybe $30. no discount with freight company, but much cheaper.

bigsaint... thanks for feeling my pain. not much faith lost as this is a great site with great people. i just wanted to warn the guys and blow off some steam.

diesel ram... thanks for the offer. if i have to take you up on that i will be more bald than i am now!! don't worry about danville. i'd drive down to bakersfield to pay you what rickson would have charged for shipping AND make sure you got enough to eat and drink. i used to work in bakersfield then mojave. i like the beach in sf better, it's not just sand #ad

they are for a 2500 i'm still waiting to hear what tires are on 'em. i know they're michelins but not what size or model.

fireman dave... whether you deliver the wheels or not let me know when you are here. sf is a great place good beer/wine and good food.

Fireman Dave--bingo on what americana said--I'm not so much of a winer & diner more of a beer & burger guy, but hey let us know when your here---americana are you going to the 1/2 moon bay tractor pull on Sunday??? let me know... . hope this tire thing works out for ya----been keeping tabs on it---I do have a brother who lives in Omaha, NEBR and now that I think of it a cousin who has a shipping/freight business in Iowa--I'll call him & see if there's a way he can help out---chris

chris... . there is a really good looking young woman coming to visit me saturday for a couple of weeks. i'll do my best. however if you are a burger guy... i don't think she'd be averse to going to moe's (in north beach... best burgers in town) for a belly buster (actual menu selection--carmelized onions, mushrooms and monterey jack cheese).

the hmb deal... tractor pull or the air show (dream machines)? air show would be much more fun.

thanks for the support bro. to those interested in the tires... i've been calling brad with no luck. i'll try again this am.

Loren,

I know a fellow TDR member who could probably shuttle them from Chicago to me when we have our dyno weekend in Iowa (5/19&20). Any ideas on getting them to Chicago?

Peter and Chris: I'll be in CA the second or third week of June. My brother lives in Willits. I lived with him in Santa Clara in '83, and this is my first time back since then. I was running around ther in my '70 GTX in those days. Ah yes, cruising El Camino Real on Fri and Sat nights. #ad

It would be fun to hook up with you guys.

ok, dave, you called it. good food and spirits in sf in june.

i probably passed you a few times in my '65 mustang gt fastback if you were cruisin' the el back then... totally different now. cops have basically put an end to that sort of thing. definitely an end to an (great) era.

I will be returning to Okla. from N. J. /N. Y. area first or second week of July. If nothing is set up by then give me a holler and I can get this far, about half way. Lou

americana---tractor pull---& wine & dine the lady---even though those burgers are great---

Fireman Dave sounds good--maybe we can get a few other guys to join in--keep us posted---chris

I occasionally drive from my house (near Cincinnati) to Pittsburgh, so I can get them as far as Cincinnati, or possibly Indianapolis. Can anyone else take them from here on out to the west coast?

Loren, Fireman Dave:

I imagine I'll be heading up to Windy in the latter part of May or early June. I can ferry them from Cinci to some convenient location in WI so Fireman Dave can haul them to CA. Cinci is on the way for me (50 miles off-route hardly counts as a detour!)

Dave, where in WI are you? I'll likely be heading to Madison for a few days while I'm in Windy.

I'm sure we can work something out and get those fine wheels and tires to CA.

i'm going to LA for the next three days. anyone need anything shipped to or fro?

the guy with the tires still hasn't returned my call about the model of michelins. i will call him at work in about an hour. if the shipping falls through.

if i can get the tires/wheels then i'll go for the shipping you guys are offering... . it'll make one helluva story around the campfire!!!

i'll check back later.

Dave, Kalifornia? #ad

I'm heading out to Pleasant Hills around (hopefully) 4th of July. If things don't work out for June, I should have room on our trip. I'll know in a few weeks for sure.

hope he didn't b. s. me and these are correct. i am not at my work computer and the server won't let me check e-m from home (where i'm at now) hope all whom are interested read it here. otherwise i will e-m the folks i said i'd notify about the tires in a week when i get back to work.

thanks again to all. i'll keep watching to see if the shipping gets pulled off!! if not i hope somebody would be happy with a nice set of wheels and tires.

Peter,

There is activity through emails between several of us regarding shuttling them to you. Email me when you get a chance and I'll fill you in.

Dave

Peter,

This is coming together. Please e-mail me or Fireman Dave immediately to provide contact data. He can forward it to me.

I need to get your permission as well as directions to the wheels in Pittsburgh.

I had forgotten about your trip, so you are not available to get me the information right now. I will go ahead and drive to Pittsburgh, expecting that you will be able to contact me before my return home on Monday.

Fireman Dave has my phone number.

Good luck to us all.

Loren
