I had my oil analysis done in July after replacing the head gasket it came back that I had fuel dilution. Drained and resampled and it came back the same,, fuel dilution. I thought maybe I had a bad injector and that it would be a good time to go for the 275s and the new tubes. Drained and resampled and it came back today the same----fuel dilution. Any advice on where to look next???TIA

BTW truck has 190000 on it.

As I have a 24 valve, this is just a guess. Could it be a gasket between the engine and the injector pump? I it was me I would call Peirs!

Fuel in oil ?

Sounds like a ring or two going south with 190000 a could compression test dry and wet should tell the story . Hope this helps do get it checked as a crank case explosion is possible . Ron in LOUISVILLE KY. LOL

I suppose now somebody is going to post about the lift pump pressure being too high!<G>, thereby causing the dilution!!<G>

Ron, hope you're wrong about the ring thing. It happened kinda sudden to be a ring problem I hope.

Flatt I have a 24v but the seal on the Ipump could be the problem. Thanx for the input on this.

Pitts, Didn't mean to over look you're post. I'm thinking that's the direction I'm going to go first. It is definitley the least expensive. Thanx for the feed back.

m I had my Gaser cap on after fifty years of gasers I told you wrong thats for gas eng , but if sample is showing gas in oil then aether rings or scored cylinder wall is probably doing it . Crank case explosions are possible , saw it happen to m 60 tank cause fuel in crank case and carbon glowing on top of piston ,blew after stop and shut down for about fifteen min . piston went out side of eng. I guess measuring is only way to find out if rings are bad . lol hope you find out whats wrong soon . Ron in LOUISVILLE KY

Fuel in oil

Thanx guys for all the feed back. I'm hoping it's the pump seal. I'll start there and see what I come up with. I'll keep ya posted.
