I have some strange vibrations? My pick up is vibrating between 25 and 15 mph when I am slowing down - for some reason it is worse when I am braking moderately. Just tonight it began a growl at about 65mph but became quiter after a few miles, but I still think I feel something different. I have also notice a litte "shudder" when I take off from a stop. Any advice is apprreciated. 03, 3500, 4wd, 6 spd, 120k miles

I'm with 100 proof. check your idle speed,... probably too high and clunks when you put it in gear??

You are correct

It was u-joints. I was happy to see that the middle u-joint was froze. I replaced all three and I am back on the road. Before I looked at the u-j, I called around about transmission work - WOW - expensive! I am now looking at a mid size or big truck to haul with. The price of repairs, tires, etc are not that much more for the truck - especially if you look at the number of miles you get out of a larger truck.
