Guys,

I am installing a BD 7x Converter (tomorrow) and I need to know if I got the right one. From my signature I think I should be running est 230-240 rwhp and if I put injectors in (275's) I would only be somewhere between 260-280 rwhp. I bought the 215LX but I am concerned it will be to tight and doggy off the line. I bought this based on the retailers recommendation.

What are you BD owners running???

# 1070215X for the 94-02 stock 140 right up to 350 rear wheel Hp trucks, 12-Valve towing, and great for 1/4 mile racers too

# 1070215LX for the 98. 5-02 300 to 400 rear wheel Hp trucks towing loads

We install LOTS of BD converters... The 215X will be fine. The 215LX will be a little doggy, but that will just give you an excuse for bigger injectors... :D The 215LSX is even tighter, but you are nowhere near needing it...

I have the LX converter and it works just fine with only 232 HP with the box turned off but the more power I put to it with the box the better it responds. It is like night and day between the stock setup and the new converter. The take off and response going through the gears while towing is so much better than stock that at first I didn't think I needed any more power but being the power junky I am I just couldn't resist adding more. :) I have also towed up some very steep hills in OD with the box turned up and the TC never slipped once. It's great being able to use lockup and putting 100% HP and torque to the ground. :) Keep us posted on how everything goes for you.

Thanks

Thanks guys for the response. I will stick with the 215LX and if it is still doggy maybe I can pick up some injectors later. Sounds like I made a good choice. It's being installed today and I should get it back tomorrow afternoon sometime. I don't want to rush them through!!
