brazing

Brazing is a perfectly good operation to repair a line with a hole in it. So long as the line is properly cleaned and the hole is not large enough to let the brass get into the line, restricting it. I have brazed many a brake and fuel injector line. Experience is the key to a successful brazing job.

I used to manage a GM service dealership, and the techs always tried to braze a line first. One can tell if the line is a rusted piece of crap or that the hole is too big. Brazing is getting to be a lost art, and it is amazing what a little piece of brass can hold together.

I recieved the new line today via UPS. It is a perfect match to the damaged one.

A BIG thank you to willyslover. Who mailed the part out for me.

I got it late so I'm going to try to install it on Saturday. Hopefully I won't have to bleed the whole system.

This is what the TDR is all about. Members helping members. I know I'll be returning the favor some day. ;)
