I am working on a guy's 1999 2500ctd 4wd and I have put new master cylender, new hydroboost sys, new front pads, have bled the brakes and the pedal still goes to the floor. The brakes are not like they should be. . I have also jacked the rear up to see how the rears are and I cand hit the brake withit in second gear and it will bog the motor down but wont kill it like it should. . Can some one please help me I have spent 3 evenings on this thing and the brakes still stink??? Thanks Justin

I guess first off, were you sure all of the air came out of the brake lines? Did you bleed the master cyclinder?

i have a nifty set of line clamps from Matco that i used to bleed brakes or diagnose them... and sometimes to clamp off the rear brakes for burn outs:-laf

Anyway, i would use a line clamp or vise grips and clamp off either the rear rubber hose or the fronts (maybe one at a time or both) and see if the braking gets better. If you clamp the rear and the pedal is good than you know you have an issue with either the rubber hose, fittings, or wheel cyliners. Same goes for one of the fronts. If nothing happens than i would look into the master cylinder... . Hope this helps.
